DEZMEN
(whose real name is Peter Mendez) is an artist
who delivers Hip-Hop with a Latin swag to the
music industry. Writing about real life
situations and events, DEZMEN pours his heart
and soul into his music. His delivery displays
the emotion and rawness of his talent.
DEZMEN writes in many different genres, (Bachata,
Bolero, Merengue, and Salsa), both in English
and Spanish. He works on bringing his audience
something new and fresh.
DEZMEN teamed up with a Newark rapper by the
name of DEMOS to further develop this new
Hip-Hop/Reggaeton sound and style. They have
performed at locations such as The Spirit of NY,
Webster Hall, Tribecca, and other local venues.
DEZMEN and DEMOS have even performed out of the
states in Puerto Rico. They’ve received great
praises from their audience and are creating a
buzz through out the Tri-State area.
In addition to working with DEMOS, DEZMEN has
been working with up and coming producer FAMINE,
from the Reggaeton group R.N.S., R.N.S.’s
resident singer RUBIO, STIX MALONE from Bab-A
(L3), Love House Studio Producer GEORGE MENA,
and THE MAESTRO MUSIC Producer D’LUZ.
“El dinero que yo logro no es suficiente
Ahora si yo robo me hago un deliquiente
Por eso yo trabajo y me pongo pendiente
En cosas positiva que alivia la mente”
- DEZMEN “LUCHANDO”

Newark native DEMOS themostrealist
(whose real name is Quadir Muhammad-Bruce) is
helping to usher in a new era in Hip-Hop/Reggaeton.
As an artist DEMOS, honed his skills writing
rhymes while attending Fairleigh Dickinson
University. He was first heard on the
Universities’ own radio station, where him and
his suitemates had a late-night slot, where they
played random Hip-Hop and R&B tracks, and
also displayed the rap talents of local town and
university artists.
DEMOS, once affiliated with 315 North (The
Franchise) a group that included his suitemates,
shifted running mates after heated battles to
the ESSEX County-UNION County connect Bab-A(L3)
where he’s done numerous freestyle tracks with
Newark rapper STIX MALONE.
In the beginning of 2007 DEMOS once again
shifted his rapping and writing energy to merge
two cultures of music into one unique sound
when he hooked up to do tracks with Newark
artist DEZMEN.
Their first public performance was in Trenton,
NJ at a local spot called Sambuca. They was
later seen touching the mic in Puerto Rico,
Webster
Hall in NYC, Spirit of NY Cruise Line and
Tribeccas in Fort Lee, NJ, to name a few
locations.
As the major players in music shout that Hip-Hop
is dead, and the Latin sector claims the same
with Reggaeton, DEMOS stays dedicated to lacing
beats with his voice and lyrics for the first
project by DEZMEN & DEMOS tentatively titled
Algo Nuevo with guest appearances by R.N.S. own
RUBIO out of Union City , NJ and STIX MALONE of
Bab-A (L3).
“I love all types of music,” says DEMOS. “I
really just do what I feel, not everybody will
like it, but someone will.” The trueness in this
message is displayed in DEMOS style from his
inspiring to
sometimes raunchy lyrics, to his high energy
stage performance which many say is an acquired
taste.
